The Lazy Grasshopper
This retelling of Aesop’s classic fable contrasts two very different approaches to life. One bright summer’s day, a cheerful but lazy grasshopper spends his time singing and napping, enjoying the warm sunshine. In the same field, a determined ant is hard at work, tirelessly carrying heavy grains of wheat back to her nest. When the grasshopper asks the ant to stop and play with him, the ant refuses, explaining that she must prepare for the coming winter. The grasshopper laughs at the idea, believing winter is far away and that there is plenty of time.
