Hal’s daily routine at the zoo is boring. He wishes for something more exciting. Tim is a wealthy, famous actor, but he feels trapped by his own celebrity. The two men meet by chance and decide to exchange places for a while.

As they live each other’s lives, each discovers unexpected joys and problems. Hal enjoys the glamour and attention, but soon realises that fame brings its own stress. Tim finds the simple, quiet life refreshing, yet he also misses parts of his former world. The experiment forces them to look at themselves honestly, and in the end they learn that happiness comes not from the kind of life you lead, but from being true to yourself.
