The Three Musketeers
"Set between 1625 and 1628, it recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to travel to Paris, hoping to join the Musketeers of the Guard."
This book is a simplified, illustrated adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’s classic adventure novel, designed for young readers. The story is set in France during the reign of King Louis XIII.
The main character, d'Artagnan, is a brave young man from Gascony who dreams of becoming a member of the King's elite guard, the Musketeers. When he arrives in Paris, he immediately gets into a quarrel with three famous musketeers: Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. Instead of becoming enemies, they become inseparable friends, living by the motto "One for all, and all for one."
