The Silver Chair
The Silver Chair is a children's portal fantasy novel written by British author C.S. Lewis and published by Geoffrey Bles in 1953. It was the fourth of seven novels published in The Chronicles of Narnia, but became volume six in recent editions sequenced in chronological order to Narnian history. The story follows two English schoolchildren, Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole, who venture into the magical land of Narnia. Tasked by the lion Aslan to find the missing Prince Rilian, they journey with the Marsh-wiggle Puddleglum through a series of treacherous adventures, including encounters with giants and the cunning Lady of the Green Kirtle, eventually facing the challenges of the Underworld. The novel explores themes of faith, truth versus lies, good versus evil, and spiritual guidance.
